Plastic 1/4" Rounded Pintle Shim

Window shutters were originally created as window covers to literally "shut out" the sun, wind, and cold because hand blown glass was too expensive and fragile for the common person to afford. Most of those first shutters were latched on the inside and opened into the home's interior. Over time glass became more widely available and the shutters were redesigned for the exterior of the house to protect the glass which was still relatively expensive.
